22 | AUDITORIUM THEATRE 2019-20 | March 10 - May 5, 2020 A Night to Remember: The Auditorium Theatre’s 2019 Annual Fall Gala The Auditorium Theatre hosted its Annual Fall Gala on November 16, 2019, benefiting the theatre’s programming, creative engagement, and restoration efforts! Guests gathered at the Palmer House Hilton for a cocktail reception and dinner, and then traveled to the Auditorium Theatre for the Chicago Celebrates Sondheim! performance, featuring top Chicago singers including Joan Curto , Rodrick Dixon , and Susan Werner . The evening also included the presentation of the fourth annual Adler & Sullivan Award to Auditorium Theatre Board member Patti Eylar and Board member emeritus Charlie Gardner . Eylar and Gardner were presented with the award by Rich Regan , Auditorium Theatre CEO, and gala co-chairs Pamela Crutchfield , Helen Hall Melchior , and Dia S. and Edward S. Weil, Jr. A proclamation from Mayor Lori Lightfoot declared November 16, 2019 as "Patti Eylar Day" and "Charles Gardner Day" in their honor.
