Explore gardens like a pollinator. e themed gardens are bursting with blooms and pollinators right now. Look for: • Color in the Crescent Garden • Scent in the Graham Bulb Garden • Pollinator habitat in the Native Plant Garden • Food and pollination in the Re- genstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden Spot the pollinators… Native bees, wasps, ies, butter ies, moths, bats, birds, and beetles all call the Garden home. …And plants that love them. See a bee tag as you walk around the Garden? ese pollinator plants are part of the Garden’s permanent collection. Marvel at the mason bees. Nearly 85 percent of all bee species make nests in the ground. Not native mason bees (Osmia). ey build in cavities—hol- low plant stems, woodpecker holes, and other natural and human-made tunnels—and use mud to mortar their nests. You may have helped build the art installation that is also a functional native mason bee house during the Unearth Science festival. Stop by the Regenstein Learning Campus to see the nal results. Dip inside the world of a pollinator. A Pollinator’s Perspective exhibition continues through September 8 in Joutras Gallery. Be a bat or hawk- moth—stand in front of pollinator wings and snap a photo. View beautiful illustrations of polli- nators.
