The American Flower Show Series is endowed in honor of Louise Durham Mead and Walter Longworthy Mead. Family Gardeners Series March 1, April 5, May 3 & June 7 Kids ages 6 to 10 learn how to start a backyard garden in this series of four classes, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. After the last class, participants receive a Chicago Botanic Garden patch and ten plants to start their own garden at home. Participants must be accompanied by an adult; fee applies. Chicago Botanic Garden Science Festival April 18 & 19 Back by popular demand, the family-friendly Science Festival celebrates hands-on, up-close science.
