Kris Jarantoski Excellence in Horticulture Volunteer Service Award: Jerry Macek A volunteer in the Landscape Garden, Macek is known for being eager to help with any horticulture assignment, no matter the weather. Barbara Whitney Carr Excellence in Leadership Award: Martha Belew Belew is currently leading a project to transfer 335,000 bloom observations into spreadsheets. Five-Star Customer Service Award: Jean Lytle She assists with family programs on Saturday mornings and has volunteered for almost every youth program. Super Senior Award: Rita Inserra Inserra began her service in 1998 and has trained hundreds of volunteers at Garden events. Editor’s note: Rita Inserra passed away on August 27, 2019.
