Both online and on-site classes will be available. Online classes will be taught via Zoom, and will consist of both lecture and hands-on components. Chris Baker, curator of bonsai at the Chicago Botanic Garden, will guide you through techniques and you will have an oppor- tunity to interact with him during the class and hone your bonsai skills from the comfort of your home. On-site classes at the Garden will be offered as state and local health department guidelines permit. Capacity will be limited, social distancing guidelines will be monitored, and face coverings will be required for the duration of class. Deciduous Trees: Online Learn to identify more than 50 large decidu- ous trees, gain a greater understanding of the many functions they serve in gardens and the landscape, and discover the wonders they offer year-round. Develop your ability to identify trees using their buds, bark, and habit, in addition to leaf shape and other characteristics. Tuesday evening lectures will be taught online via Zoom.
