Fresh Evergreen Garland Workshop Create a centerpiece garland for your holiday table from fresh evergreens, berries, and floral and seasonal elements. Your garland can be up to 4 feet long and you will learn several ideas for styling your holiday table using candles in a variety of sizes. Develop sound linear and tonal concepts, communicate accurate botanical information, and learn the aesthetics of botanical art. Learn techniques to use a crow quill (dip pen). You will learn basic color mixing and paint-handling exercises, progressing to rendering textures and form in color, and using paint-layering techniques. A supply list will be sent. Watercolor: The Bounty of Fall Colors If you’ve ever wanted to express yourself boldly with colors, fall is the ideal time. Drawing upon the richness of colors both in the Garden and in a classroom pumpkin and gourd still life, we will push the boundaries of color saturation. Various finishing techniques unique to colored pencils will be introduced. Emphasizing form, drawing skills will be strengthened, facilitating your personal expression through botanical art.
