Join us as we celebrate Mack the Knife, the timeless antihero of 1928’s The Threepenny Opera ; the jazz-inspired concertos of Ravel and Gershwin, featuring the multi-award-winning Cuban pianist Aldo López-Gavilán; and the great fictional American Jay Gatsby, immortalized in John Harbison’s fanciful foxtrot. Laugh at the zany antics of Buster Keaton as he bumbles his way through the case pretending to be a famous detective, at legendary cartoon character Felix who proves himself a scaredy-cat, and at Koko the Clown as he attempts to escape the confines of his animated world.
