30 2021-2022 SEASON | THE CHICAGO PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY Chicago Philharmonic Terell Johnson, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Secretary is a musician and emerging leader. He is the former Director of Business Development and Director of Community Engagement at the New World Symphony. During his time at New World Symphony he was nominated to serve as the chair of Governance and Steering for the New World Symphony’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging committee. Before joining NWS in 2015, he maintained a rigorous schedule serving as Marketing Manager of the Northshore Concert Band; recruiter for the Chicago High School for the Arts; and freelancer in the Chicago area. He is a native of Cape Coral, Florida and holds a master of music degree in clarinet performance from Florida State University and bachelor of music from University of Central Florida. He is a member of Sphinx LEAD (Leaders in Excellence, Arts & Diversity), a two-year leadership program designed to evolve the industry landscape by empowering the next generation of executive leaders. Terell’s current interests include wrangling his two- and four-year-old boys, enjoying his wife’s creative culinary exploits, and music composition. tjohnson@chicagophilharmonic.org Nathaniel Davis, Director of Operations and Personnel, hails from Crawfordsville, Indiana. Before joining the Chicago Philharmonic, Nathaniel worked as the Recording Engineer for the National Repertory Orchestra and taught tuba/euphonium lessons in Houston, Texas public schools. Nathaniel is passionate about bringing classical music to all members of the greater Chicago community and educating the next generation of musicians. He holds a B.M. in Tuba Performance, B.S. in Recording Arts, and Certificate in Arts Administration from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. In his spare time, Nathaniel loves to roast coffee, bake, and travel. ndavis@chicagophilharmonic.org Eryn MacNeil, Development Manager, has worked in development and database management for organizations in the Chicago area, including the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and the Franciscan Alliance Healthcare Foundation. She graduated from Valparaiso University in 2015, where she played the cello in the symphony orchestra and chamber ensembles. She also has an MBA from North Park University, with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration and Management. In her spare time, she loves reading, animals, musical theater, and playing the cello whenever she can. emacneil@chicagophilharmonic.org Lydia Penningroth, Marketing Manager, has honed her knowledge of classical music, marketing, communications, and sales with Chicago Philharmonic since 2016. She graduated from DePaul University’s School of Music with a Bachelor of Science in Sound Recording Technology. In her spare time, she loves attending concerts of all genres, playing rugby, and drinking espresso at her favorite Logan Square coffee shop. lpenningroth@chicagophilharmonic.org Diana Ortiz, Music Librarian and Production Assistant, is thrilled to be joining The Chicago Philharmonic Society in their Production team. A native from Bogotá, Colombia; Diana is a music lover, violinist, music teacher, and music librarian based in Chicago, Illinois. She has previously served as music librarian for the Chicago Sinfonietta, DePaul University School of Music, and the Oistrakh Symphony in Chicago. She holds a B.A. in Violin Performance from The College of Saint Rose, a Master’s and Certificate degrees in Violin Performance fromDePaul University, and teaches in Chicagoland as a registered Suzuki violin teacher. She loves painting, knitting, and performing in her free time! dortiz@chicagophilharmonic.org Lisa Caradonna, Accountant, is a graduate of DePaul University with baccalaureate degrees in both Accounting and Finance. She has nearly 30 years experience in a variety of industries proving unparalleled, personalized accounting services to a broad range of clients in the Chicago Area. She runs her own accounting company, ird Coast Accounting. lcaradonna@chicagophilharmonic.org Keely Payne, Graphic Designer, has been an award-winning designer for over 10 years. She received a BFA in visual communication from Kendall College of Art and Design. Art has always been her first love and Keely continues to practice with mediums such as painting, printmaking or sculpture. In addition to working with the Chicago Philharmonic, Keely is the Art Director for the West Michigan Symphony.
