Chicago Philharmonic 2021-2022

6 2021-2022 SEASON | THE CHICAGO PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY 2021-2022 SEASON Chicago Philharmonic From the Executive Director and Board Chairman We are overjoyed to welcome you to our historic 32nd season! It is a dream to lead the Chicago Philharmonic into the future and to support our mission to excite, engage, and transform diverse audiences with the beauty and power of great music. To work with such an incredible group of world-class musicians is a privilege beyond compare. This season, we are celebrating the inaugural launch of the Donna Milanovich Composer in Residence program, a series of exhilarating world premieres, and a show stopping homage to Aretha Franklin that is guaranteed to have you dancing in your seat. We are also thrilled to share the stage with incredible soloists from across the world, including Avi Avital, Njioma Grevious, and our own Chicago Philharmonic musician member Sergey Gutorov in Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. This year especially, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for our patrons. Our safety protocols will continue to be updated in accordance with our venues and CDC guidelines. Thanks to the hard work and vigilance of people like you, we can connect through music in person. We appreciate your assistance—you are helping us to protect your fellow audience members as well as the musicians, staff, and volunteers that make these performances possible. Thank you for joining us this season. More than ever, your patronage and continued support allows us to fulfill our mission and continue to provide inspiring performances to our community.
