Originally from Northern California, she is now a Chicago-based director, actor, and writer. Directing credits include: Forbidden Fruit (The Arc Theater); The Sherlock Scandal (Arranmore Arts; co-adaptor and AD); and Treif Play (Ritual Writers Group Reading Series). Acting credits include: SITP Romeo and Juliet (Chicago Shakespeare Theater, u/s); The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Arc Theatre); and readings with The Court Theatre. Film/TV includes Chicago Med. Julia received her BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University, and is represented by the wonderful folks at Stewart Talent. Samantha Tink (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be working at Citadel for her 4th season as the resident Stage Manager. A graduate of Carthage College, she also holds an MFA in Directing from East 15 Acting School. Samantha has directed such shows as Life Under Water , The Rose and The Ring and Seussical the Musical . Samantha is a classically trained singer and has been in such productions as Phantom (Chorus), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel) and Music Man (Tilly Squires/Pick-A-Little-Lady). Eric Luchen (Scenic Designer) is an award winning designer based in the Chicago area. He received the Joseph Jefferson Award in 2018 for his design of Foxfinder produced by Interrobang Theatre Co. He is thrilled to return to Citadel for his 9th production where he most recently designed The Roommate . Some of his recent credits include Buddy : The Buddy Holly Story (Metropolis Theatre), All Shook Up (Williams Street Rep.) The River (BoHo Theatre) Other companies he has worked with include Circa 21’ Playhouse, North Central College, After School Matters, The Factory, Brightside Theatre, Artemesia, Redtwist, Sideshow Theatre, and Red Theatre. Andrei Borges (Lighting Designer) is a Chicago based lighting designer and assistant designer with experience in both theatre and Opera. A recent graduate from The Theatre School at DePaul university, Andrei can be found assisting both local and international designers as well as working as an electrician at Theatre’s such as Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Victory Gardens Theatre. Making his debut at Citadel Theatre, Andrei hopes to return soon and shares incredible stories such as this one. Madeleine Byrne (Costume Designer) is delighted to join the team on Peter and the Starcatcher . Madeleine is a recent graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University, where her design credits include Twelfth Night and the US premiere of Oresteia in a new adaptation by Robert Icke. Also this fall, Madeleine is designing Sugar in Our Wounds at First Floor Theatre. Robert Hornbostel (Sound Designer) Robert is very excited to be joining such a fun and exciting production of Peter and the Starcatcher! Robert is a human based out of Chicago where he is often a Sound Designer, Engineer, Composer, Hacker, and Educator. He also owns and operates Techmagic Designs LLC, providing audio and tech solutions to many storefront theaters. Breon Arzell (Movement Choreographer) Most commonly known as an actor, Breon Arzell’s breakout, and award-winning, premiere as a Chicago choreographer came with Oracle Productions’ ‘The Hairy Ape’. In Chicago, he has worked as a dancer, choreographer, and instructor at Joel Hall Dancers & Center, Porchlight M.T., Vagabond School, and The Goodman Theatre (for their Musical Theater Program). Developing his own style of dance and storytelling*, movement credits include: ‘The Color Purple’ (Drury Lane Theatre), ‘Head Over Heels’ & ‘The Wiz’ (Kokandy Productions), ‘The Total Bent’ (Haven Theatre w/ About Face Th Co.), ‘We Are Proud to Present..’ (Steppenwolf Theatre Co.), ‘House That Will Not Stand’ (Victory Gardens), ‘Julius Caesar’ (Writers Theatre), ‘Night Runner’ & ‘Wig Out’ (DePaul U.), ‘Marie Christine’ (BoHo Theatre), ‘Scottsboro Boys’ (Porchlight Music Theatre), and more. His work has been seen on stages around the ChicagoLand area, including with Lookingglass Theatre ( Moby Dick and Thaddeus and Slocum ), Chicago Children’s Theatre ( Frederick , Red Kite ), and Refuge Theatre Project ( High Fidelity , Spitfire Grill , Hands on a Hardbody ).This holiday season he’ll be returning to the House Theatre of Chicago for their annual production of The Nutcracker . In his spare time, Jon serves as company music director for Barrel of Monkeys, a not-for-profit serving Chicago Public Schools. For Ally. Jaq Seifert (Fight Choreographer) is a Chicago-based certified fight and theatrical firearms teacher and choreographer.
