Cast Biographies 11 Alicia Kahn (Birdie Hubbard) is delighted to be making her Citadel debut with her return to the stage after the birth of her twins. She has worked in New York, Boston, Boise, and Cleveland with a variety of companies including La Mama, Etc, the Cleveland Playhouse, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, and Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Some favorite roles have included Mary Warren in The Crucible , Raina in Arms and the Man , Billie in Born Yesterday , Agnes in Agnes of God , Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream , Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing , Elizabeth in Pride & Prejudice , Jane in Jane Eyre , Tracy in The Philadelphia Story , Anna in Anna Karenina , Wendy in Peter Pan , and Roz in Moon Over Buffalo . With love and great appreciation for her husband and three children. Scott Phelps (Oscar Hubbard) is in his 16 th year as the Artistic Director at Citadel. He’s acted in and directed dozens of Citadel productions over the last decade since founding this North Shore theatre in 2002 with his friend and lifelong companion, Ellen. He has acted/directed in NYC, and in his home state of California, trained as an actor at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, CA, received his BFA from the University of Utah, and did an apprenticeship at the Actors Theatre of Louisville in KY. For 18 years Scott worked for a promotional company and raised his 3 daughters and his son in Lake Forest. Recently he has been taking on the next chapter of his life — the role of “Grandpa”. Although he is unsure if he is old enough to play that part, he’s been enjoying the challenge. Ryan Leonard (Leo Hubbard) is a Chicago based actor born in Antioch, Illinois. He received his BFA in acting at the University of Illinois in Urbana- Champaign. His most recent Theatre credits include a staged reading of The Witches of BirnamWood with Babes with Blades, The Picture of Dorian Gray at City Lit Theatre, and By the Bog of Cats (understudy) at The Artistic Home. He would like to dedicate his performance to his father Bob who is celebrating his retirement after 35 years in Public Education. Congrats Bob! Saren Nofs Snyder (Regina Giddens) is pleased to make her debut at Citadel. Ms. Nofs Snyder is a Joseph Jefferson Award nominated actress who was most recently seen as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at Riverside Theatre, where she also appeared as Titania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Queen Margaret in Richard III . Highlights from her career include Regan in King Lear , Lady Percy/Doll Tearsheet in Henry IV, part two , Celia in As You Like It , and Myrtle Mae in Harvey (Utah Shakespeare Festival), Masha in Three Sisters (Piven Theatre), Lady Caroline in Enchanted April (Artists Repertory Theatre), Lady Croom in Arcadia (New Leaf), Queen Elizabeth in Richard III (Notre Dame Shakespeare), and Barbara in the revival of Sympathetic Magic (Profile Theatre) where she worked with Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lanford Wilson. Ms. Nofs Snyder earned an MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC), and teaches at The Chicago Academy for the Arts, and DePaul University.
