THROUGHOUT the FALL Wee Wanderer Wednesdays Join us for a special program for little naturalists. Children ages 2-6 w/adult. Tickets are available on a rst come, rst served basis starting at 9:30 am. Wednesdays, Sept 18, Oct 9 & 23, Nov 6 & 20 • 10 am Bird Walks Join us for a walk to observe resident and migrating birds. Meet in the parking lot. Friday & Saturday, Sept 20 & Oct 5 • 8 am Fireside Stories Enjoy storytelling and treats around a camp re. All ages. $2/person. Friday, Nov 1 • 7 pm Night Hike Hike a trail with a naturalist to look for and learn about the nocturnal creatures that call Crabtree home. Friday, Nov 22 • 7 pm Build forts and climb a spider web as you explore Crabtree’s 3-acre nature play area. Open Every Day Explore Nature Play Art in Nature: Color the Preserves! Everyone can try to sculpt, paint, draw, weave and other art forms to capture and re ect the preserves through art. Sunday, Sept 15 • 11 am–3 pm SPECIAL EVENT EVENING PROGRAMS* Bur Edge Sunset Stroll We will walk our 1.4 miles trail during the setting sun to enjoy the transition into night. Friday, Sept 6 • 6:30 pm The Sky’s the Limit Join us along with the Northwest Suburban Astronomers as we scan the skies for celestial objects. Saturday, Oct 19 • 7 pm Registration required for all Evening Programs. 3 Stover Road, Barrington Hills, 847-381-6592 Building: 9 am–4:45 pm, closed Fridays, Grounds: 8 am–5 pm daily, Free Admission Starting November 1, building and grounds close at 4 pm. 14
