THROUGHOUT the FALL What’s on The Menu? Join us at feeding time to learn about our display animals and their unique habits. Saturdays & Sundays • 3 pm Small Serendipity Join us for a nature story and craft or other activity. Ages 3–6 with an adult. Wednesdays, Sept 4 & 18; Oct 2, 16 & 30; Nov 6 & 20 • 10 am Restoration Workdays* Improve native wildlife habitat by learning about and removing invasive species. Registration required. Ages 10 & up; children under 15 with an adult. Saturdays, Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 2 10 am–Noon 3120 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook, 847-824-8360 Building: 9 am–5 pm, closed Fridays. Grounds: 8 am–5 pm daily, Free Admission After November 1, building and grounds close at 4 pm. Join us as we celebrate the season with a special day of autumn fun. Storytelling, beekeeping demos, pumpkin painting, hayrides and more! Admission is free; there are small fees for some activities or bring a non-perishable food item to donate to The Greater Chicago Food Depository in exchange for activity tickets. 1 item=1 ticket Sunday, Oct 20 • 10 am–4 pm Fall Festival SEPTEMBER Creature Feature Get up close and personal with one of the animals at River Trail. Sunday & Monday, Sept 1 & 2 • 1:30 pm Animal Evidence Uncover the mystery of local wildlife as we hike the trails to examine the signs, tracks, and other clues some animals leave behind. Sunday, Sept 8 • 1:30 pm Birding Basics* Learn the basics in birdwatching just in time for the fall birding season. Ages 13 & up. Sunday, Sept 15 •1:30 pm SPECIAL EVENT 20
