Learn eld marks to watch for and how to use a spotting scope. Ages 14 & up. Saturday, Mar 16 • 1 pm Sagawau Science: Out in the Field Understand a naturalist by joining their excursion. Use your power of observation to identify ecological connections. Sunday, Mar 17 • 1 pm Vernal Pool Dip Net* Sample temporary wetlands with a dip net. Wear your rubber boots. Dress for the weather. Ages 14 & up. Sunday, Mar 24 • 1 pm Ski program ends Monday, Mar 4 Spring Hike* Get out and enjoy nature on an early spring hike led by a naturalist. Tuesday, Mar 26 • 10 am Drop-in Citizen Science Do you love science? Are you a student who needs a spring break project? Collect data for two drop-in citizen science projects: Project Squirrel and Project Feeder Watch. Thursday, Mar 28 • 10 am Signs of Spring Hike Enjoy a relaxed hike through the woods while listening to birds and looking for early blooming wild owers . Saturday, Mar 30 • 1 pm THROUGHOUT the SPRING Canyon Tours* Sagawau Canyon highlights the geology of NE Illinois. Hike is over rough terrain; wading through a stream is necessary. Registration required, starts the Monday prior to the program date. Saturday, Apr 6; Sunday, May 19 • 10 am Waterfowl Watch* Peer through a spotting scope and watch for migratory waterfowl.
