Bird the Preserves is a joint initiative of the Forest Preserves and various partners to connect diverse communities to nature. Events are for all ages unless otherwise noted. Christmas Bird Count The Christmas Bird Count is an annual tradition. Participate in birding and bird counting by becoming a volunteer in one of the nations oldest biological surveys. New birders are welcome.
