Friday, May 15 • 7:30 pm MARCH Burning Questions Learn how prescribed res help manage ecosystems, with demonstrations. Sunday, Mar 1 • 1 pm Radio Telemetry Learn about radio telemetry, how and why it’s used to track animals, and try your hand at using our equipment. Saturday, Mar 7•1 pm Crane Moon Learn about Crabtree’s largest nesting bird, its migratory journey, and its cousins around the world. Sunday, Mar 8 • 1 pm Celebrate the Forest Preserves of Cook County while learning about the behind-the-scenes work. Climb a tree, touch a sh, check out the restoration equipment, pitch a tent, try archery and lots more. Sunday, May 31 • Noon–4 pm Explore the Forest EVENING PROGRAMS Woodcock Walk* Short intro inside, then a walk to observe the male woodcock dance. Ages 7 & up. Friday, Mar 20 • 6:30 pm Saturday, Apr 4 • 7 pm Eerie Artwork* Follow along to create a Friday the 13th inspired nature painting. Ages 16 and up. Friday, Mar 13 • 7 pm Frog Calls* Learn about frogs and why they call. Then go on a hike to identify different species.
