Annual Arts and Crafts Fair We’re celebrating our 57th Annual Arts and Craft Fair! Art, of all styles, will be sold by artists inspired by nature. Registration not required. OCTOBER Sand Painting Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day by creating sand paintings to traditional music. Monday, Oct 10 • 11 am Dendrophilia: Love of Trees Celebrate your love of trees with a fall color walk and mindfulness activities. Saturday, Oct 15 • 10 am Dip Netting and Telescopes Search the pond for invertebrates, amphibians and other aquatic organisms. Saturday, Oct 22 • 7–9 pm Nature at Night: Flashlight Discoveries Flashlights will be used to investigate the woodland’s nooks and crannies in search of creepy crawlies. Family friendly. Saturday, Oct 29 • 7 pm Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt Find all the hidden pumpkins during this fun scavenger hunt. Costumes encouraged but not required. Sunday, Oct 30 • 10 am–2 pm Day of the Dead Celebration* Join us for the unveiling of the animal altar dedicated to endangered and extinct species. Take a night walk and enjoy stories at the camp re. Friday, Nov 18 • 7 pm Hoots and Howls Enjoy a guided walk exploring our woods at night searching for our elusive nocturnal neighbors. Saturday, Nov 19 • 7 pm Thanksgiving Forest Bath Open the senses to sights, smells and sounds of nature before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season begins. Sunday, Nov 20 • 10 am Thankful for the Dark Learn about the importance of dark skies, then enjoy a leisurely night walk.
