Saturdays, Mar 5, 12 & 26; Apr 9 & 30; May 7, 21 & 28 • 4:30 pm Nature Storytime Enjoy a seasonal story outside followed by a short hike or activity. Ages 2–6 w/caregiver. Wednesdays, Mar 16 & 30, Apr 13 & 27, & May 11 • 10 am Nature Table A naturalist will have a selection of artifacts for visitors to explore and learn about! Sundays, Mar 20; Apr 3, 17, & 24; May 8 & Monday, May 30 • 1–3 pm Woodcock Walk* After a short introduction to the American woodcock, take a walk to observe the males spiraling upward in the darkening sky. Ages 7 & up. Fridays, Mar 18 & Apr 1 • 6:30 pm Community Science: Frog Monitoring* Contribute to community science while learning about frogs. Learn to identify frogs from their calls, then listen for them on a 2-mile walk with stops. Ages 10 & up. Friday, Mar 25 • 7:15 pm Friday, May 20 • 8:15 pm MARCH Crabtree History* Experience a walk through time together as we discuss the early days of Crabtree Nature Center and what came before. Ages 12 & up. Sunday, Mar 6 • 1 pm Radio Telemetry* Learn about radio telemetry and how it’s used to track animals. Try your hand at using radio telemetry equipment. Sunday, Mar 13 • 1 pm Shades of Green Hike Grab a warm cup of green tea and hike to see what green signs of spring are sprouting and if any leprechauns are visiting. Saturday, Mar 19 • 1 pm Spring Break Camp: Animals in Motion* Fly, run, swim or leap into this activity-packed camp. Enjoy games, crafts and nature hikes! Ages 7–10. $10/child. In-person registration required.
