Join us for a trail hike looking for signs of spring’s arrival. Saturday, Apr 2 • 1 pm Tracking Carnivores* Whose tracks are in the mud? Learn to measure tracks, gait patterns and habitat to identify tracks and better understand the ecology of carnivores. Ages 12 & up. Sunday, Apr 3 • 1 pm What Good is Dead Wood?* Dead trees and fallen logs are part of the woodland. Join naturalists on a walk with to see what is thriving after a tree dies. Saturday, Apr 9 • 10 am Sagawau Art: Drawing Birds* Class will focus on gesture sketching and development of a completed drawing of an avian subject. Ages 12 & up. Sunday, Apr 10 • 1 pm Wildflower Walk* Enjoy a walk looking for wildflowers while learning how to identify these ephemeral beauties. Learn how light pollution effects bird migration and how turning off lights can help conserve birds. Saturday, May 14 • 8 am–2 pm Ecological Restoration Weekend* Enjoy the outdoors.
