Open Every Day JUNE Rainbow Families Celebrate Pride Month and learn about some of the different types of family arrangements in the animal kingdom. Sunday, June 12 • 1 pm Juneteenth Prairie Powerwalk Join us for an outdoor discussion and remembrance of this important holiday. Then go on a fast-paced 3-mile summer prairie walk. Ages 16 & up. Sunday, June 19 • 1 pm World Beatles Day We won’t be singing songs, but instead celebrating beetles, the insects! Join a bug hunt to see what summer insects we find along the trails. Saturday, June 25 • 1 pm Explore the Forest Learn about and celebrate the different facets of the Forest Preserves through animal encounters, arts and crafts, and much more!
