Discover them in this hands- on science program perfect for adults and curious kids. Sunday, July 10 • 1 pm Map & Compass Walk Join us to learn how to use a map and compass for navigation, then practice on a 1.5-mile walk. Sunday, July 17 • 1 pm Frog Frenzy Learn what frogs call Crabtree home! See if you can identify who is croaking in the wetlands. Sunday, July 24 • 1 pm Poisons of the Prairie Many of our native plants have toxic properties. Take a walk and learn about some of the more dangerous ones. Sunday, July 31 • 1 pm AUGUST Habitat Walk Walk Bur Edge trail with a naturalist and trek through Crabtree’s three habitat’s: woodlands, wetlands and prairies. Sunday, Aug 7 • 1 pm Secrets of the Swamp Rose Mallow Learn about this beautiful, exotic-looking native plant and other plants that grow around the marsh on this short walk.
