Ages 10 & up. Saturdays & Sundays • 9:30–11:30 am June 25 & 26, July 30 & 31, Aug 27 & 28 JUNE Bird Banding Bird banding is a scientific method used to study birds. Drop in and visit the banders to learn more! Weather dependent. Table and chairs will be set up outside on paved surface. Saturday, June 4 • 9–11 am Habitat Hike -Creek Walk* Learn about the plants and animals who depend on flowing water while walking in the creek. Wear rubber boots. Sunday, June 5 • pm Botanic Drawing* Learn to artistically capture the beauty and details of plants. Drawing and painting will be outdoors if weather conditions allow. Ages 12 & up Sunday, June 12 • 1 pm Summer Prairie* Enjoy a walk learning about prairie wildflowers. Ages 16 & up Saturday, June 18 • 10 am Dragonfly Walk* Learn why dragonflies and damselflies are aerial acrobats by watching them fly. Includes a moderate 1 -mile walk. Ages 12 & up. Sunday, June 19 • 1 pm Jewels of the Night* Enjoy the chorus of singing insects and the light show of fireflies. Learn how to conserve these nocturnal insects. Friday, June 24 • 8–9:30 pm Habitat Hike-Dolomite Prairie* Learn about this ecologically sensitive area where a thin layer of soil and limestone bedrock supports a plant and animal community.
