Outdoor presentation. Ages 6 & up. Saturday, Sept 2 • 1 pm Prairie Wildflower Walk Enjoy a late summer walk through Phantom Prairie to see what’s blooming. Monday, Sept 4 • 1 pm Little Houses on the Prairie Scavenger Hunt Can you nd all the tiny houses along the Bur Edge Trail? Sunday, Sept 16 • 11 am–3 pm Party for the Preserves Spend some time outdoors to celebrate your preserve system. We will have a variety of programming. Saturday, Sept 23 • Noon–3 pm Why Did the Woolly Bear Cross the Road? Take a short walk and learn how these big fuzzy caterpillars are preparing for winter. Ages 3 & up. Saturday, Sept 30 • 1 pm OCTOBER Bees, Wasps & Hornets These insects can be plentiful, and at times “pesky.” Join this presentation to learn about them. Sunday, Oct 1 • 1 pm Close Encounters of the Tree Kind Oak trees tower high along the Giant’s Hollow Trail. Learn about what makes them special. Sunday, Oct 8 • 1 pm Art in Nature Celebrate creativity and color as all ages are invited to try different media and techniques to create art. Sculpt, paint and draw to bring out your inner artist.
