Tuesdays • 10:30 am–Noon Small Serendipity Nature stories, crafts and activities for children ages 3–6 w/adult. Wednesdays, Sept 6, 20; Oct 25; Nov 15, 29 • 10 am SEPTEMBER Animal Encounter Join our staff for an up-close look at one of our animals. Sunday and Monday, Sept 3& 4•1:30 pm 3120 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook, 847-824-8360 Building: 9 am–5 pm, closed Fridays. Grounds: 8 am–5 pm daily, Free Admission River Trail Nightlife: Night Hike* Learn about nocturnal animals and more on a guided hike. $3/person. Registration required by 9/19. Ages 6 & up. Friday, Sept 8 • 7 pm Herbal Tea Party Walk our gardens to learn about native plants then sample different infused teas made from them. Sunday, Sept 10 • 11 am–2 pm National Clean Up Day Help care for our natural world by joining us and making River Trail and the surrounding preserves cleaner. Pick up supplies onsite. Saturday, Sept 16 • 9 am–3 pm Fall Festival Celebrate the season with a special day of autumn fun, entertainment, beekeeping demonstrations, pumpkin painting, honey sales, activities and more!
