Tuesdays, Sept 5, 12, 19, 26; Oct 3, 10 8 am Wee Wonders* Preschoolers, with an adult, are invited to learn about nature through music, movement, stories and artmaking. Wednesdays • 10 am Sept 13: Cacao, Mexico’s Gift Oct 11: Oaks Nov 8: Bats Teen Exploration Day: Chess Night* Come learn the game of chess, help construct a board and play a match. Spanish speakers welcome! Ages 13–18 Thursdays, Sept 14, Nov 2 • 6–8:30 pm Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts Learn the different aspects of Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian martial arts) on a basic level and in a safe environment. We will incorporate movement, music, rituals and history into this art form. Saturdays, Sept 16, 30; Oct 14; Nov 11 5:30–7 pm SEPTEMBER Sunset Stroll and S’mores* Ages 18 & up or ages 13–17 w/ adult. Friday, Sept 22 • 6–8 pm The Great (Tiny) Pumpkin Hunt Celebrate fall as you discover pumpkins on a fun scavenger hunt. After the hunt, take home your own pumpkin (while supplies last). Saturday, Sept 23 • 10 am–2 pm Archaeology Day Pay homage to the Calumet Region’s Native American cultural history while investigating the artifacts that help tell their stories.
