We will have a brush pile burn and s’mores, weather permitting. Ages 10 & up. Saturday, Oct 21 • 10 am–Noon Oak Walk* Learn about our oaks and their importance while taking a leisurely stroll. Sunday, Oct 22 • 1:30–3 pm Who, Who, Who’s Afraid of the Woods?* Join us for a short walk along some of our trails in search of “not-so-spooky” Sand Ridge residents; owls, bats and more. Saturday, Oct 28 * 6–7:30 pm NOVEMBER Autumnal Artmaking Get inspired by the colors of the season as we paint tree cookies and make art with fallen leaves. All ages. Sunday, Nov 5 * Noon–2 pm Meet Our Birds Learn about our ighted ambassador animals and discover their unique adaptations. Sunday, Nov 12 • 1:30 pm Sand Ridge Heritage Day Join us as we explore the heritage of the Calumet Region with guided walks, regional activities and displays. Saturday, Nov 18 • 10 am–2 pm Sounds Natural: Forest Edition! Listen to the hypnotic digital sounds of nature by DJ Q and Bennie while roasting s’mores and hotdogs over a camp re. Register to camp overnight at 855-YES-CAMP. Bring the whole family to spend time outside and have fun with activities, a nature scavenger hunt and more.
