Sunday, Mar 19 • 10 am Spring Equinox Walk and Tale A folktale recited by a librarian from LaGrange Park Library will accompany this guided walk. Ages 7 & up. Monday, Mar 20 • 6:30 pm New Moon Walk & Telescope Viewing* Enjoy an evening walk and get a close-up view of the night sky. Tuesday, Mar 21 • 7:30 pm Caminata de luna nueva y observación del telescopio Amphibian Adventures Camp Learn about native salamanders and frogs through eld investigations, art and activities. $35 per child. Ages 8–10. Tuesday–Thursday, Mar 28–30 10 am–Noon Having Fun Getting Fit in the Forest Join us for a tness walk stopping at 10 stations to enhance your physical movements. Sunday, Apr 2 • 10 am Nocturnal Nature Exploration for Girl Scouts! Explore the grounds at night. Open to Girl Scout Junior Troops. Friday, Apr 14 • 7–9 pm Early Morning Bird Walk Saturdays, Apr 15, May 20 • 7–8:30 am International Bat Appreciation Day Drop in and learn about these misunderstood ying mammals. Activities and handouts provided. Monday, Apr 17 • 10–Noon Earth Day Pop-Up Celebration Art activities, worm composting demonstrations, scavenger hunts and free plant giveaways. Saturday, Apr 22 • 11 am–1 pm Thankful for the Dark Learn about the importance of dark skies, and then enjoy a leisurely 3-mile hike. All ages. Saturday, Apr 22 • 7–9 pm Waterfowl Watch Walking with brief stops to observe the birds that frequent waterways. Sunday, Apr 29 • 10 am Nature is Accessible Drop-In Event Visitors of all abilities are invited to celebrate nature through accessible activities. No registration required. Wednesday, May 24 • 10 am–Noon Nature Phobias: Snakes Learn about the ecological importance of misunderstood reptiles. A close-up encounter will delight visitors.
