Saturday, Sept 14 • 6–8 pm Dan Ryan Woods, Grove 15, W 83rd St, east of S Western Ave, Chicago Book Swap Bring in gently used books and leave with some new-to-you books! Any genre and reading level; nature-themed, large print, braille, and audio books encouraged. Wednesday, Sept 18 • 4–7 pm Dan Ryan Woods Pavilion, S Western Ave & W 87th St, Chicago Latino Conservation Week: Paddle and Clean-up Help keep the forest clean and paddle the Calumet Region. All ages. Saturday, Sept 21 • 10 am–2 pm Powderhorn Lake, S Brainard Ave, east of S Burnham Ave/S Ave O, Burnham Party for the Preserves: Bike Ride Celebrate National Public Lands Day with nature-based activities and bike rides. Divvy bikes provided, limited supply. Saturday, Sept 28 • 10 am–1 pm Beaubien Woods, W Doty Ave S, southeast of E 130th St & S Ellis Ave, Chicago Hispanic Heritage Month Paddling Celebration Bring the celebration outdoors to the Calumet region and paddle at Powderhorn Lake.
