What Can Be Done? ❶ Please place fishing line in receptacles around the lakes (it will made into fish habitat or properly disposed of). ❷ Remove all hooks, swivels, sinkers and other trash and place in a trash can. ❸ To reduce the chance of line breaking, use the appropriate test line for the fish you are trying to catch, and replace your line yearly. ❹ Place only fishing line in the receptacles. Help protect wildlife and keep your Forest Preserve lakes clean by picking up discarded line.
