Forest Preserves of Cook County 2024 Winter Brochure
fpdcc.com Exploring glistening landscapes, experiencing refreshing outings to relieve cabin fever, and warming up while volunteering or cozying up around a campfire—these are some of the many ways folks can enjoy the Forest Preserves of Cook County throughout winter. This season, you can join our staff for exciting events and programs celebrating Lunar New Year, the winter solstice, winter break from school, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and so much more. Whether you want to participate in exciting recreation like snowshoeing or hiking, or warm up while giving back to nature, you’re sure to find an enjoyable way to get outside and into nature. But for those who prefer to stay indoors, our nature centers offer robust indoor exhibits and programs, with naturalists on site to answer your questions about native wildlife and inspire you to enjoy all the Preserves offer.
