Join us for a walk to see what is going on! Monday, Dec 30 • 1:30 pm JANUARY New Year’s Resolution Walk* Fulfill your resolution of being more active by taking a brisk guided walk. Ages 18 & up. Thursday, Jan 2 • 10 am Family Winter Scavenger Hunt and Campfire Enjoy a self-guided scavenger hunt for signs of animals and plants, followed by snacks and a campfire. Family program. Sunday, Jan 5 • 1–2:30 pm Bird Painting Workshop Step-by-Step: Cooper's Hawk* Sketch and paint a 9x12 canvas of a Cooper's hawk using acrylic paints. For beginners and experienced artists. Materials provided. Cost: $5. Ages 14 & up. Friday, Jan 17 • 9:30 am–Noon Bird and Bagel Bird Walk* Join Chicago Bird Alliance for bagels inside followed by a guided bird walk. All birding levels welcome! Binoculars available. Saturday, Jan 18 • 8:30 am Bone Appetit Join us during feeding time to learn about Trailside’s outdoor ambassador animals. Saturday, Jan 25 • 2 pm FEBRUARY Makin’ Music Bluegrass Jam Make a simple musical instrument, or bring your own guitar, fiddle, etc. and join the jam! All are welcome to join the jam or just listen. All ages.
