Sunday, Dec 22 • 1–3 pm JANUARY Sit ‘N’ Sip: Winter Birds Drop in to see who is visiting our feeders and learn from a Sand Ridge bird nerd! Warm drinks and cookies provided. Saturday, Jan 11 • 8–10 am MLK Day of Service Stop by the nature center to participate in a self-led litter pick-up. Garbage bags and disposable gloves available. Monday, Jan 20 • 9 am–2 pm Winter Night Walk* Embrace the chilly weather with a brisk nighttime walk, then warm up with a hot beverage. Saturday, Jan 25 • 6–8 pm FEBRUARY Underground Railroad Self-Guided Walks Join us for self-guided historical walks throughout February for Black History Month. Underground Railroad Presentations Join us for presentations and guided walks about the Underground Railroad route connected to the Calumet Region during the mid-1800s. Saturday, Feb 22; Sunday, Feb 23, 10 am–3 pm Valentine’s Day Candlelight Walks* Celebrate love in its many forms with a candlelit walk and light refreshments. Families, friends and couples welcome.
