CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING & SNOWSHOEING Visitors can cross-country ski in all parts of the Forest Preserves, except for golf courses and nature centers. All areas are open to snowshoeing. Sagawau Environmental Learning Center offers a complete Nordic Ski Program, including groomed trails and lessons. Campgrounds offer snowshoes and cross-country skis for rent by campers. Check our website for details on snowshoe rentals at nature centers.
