works of Handel, Bach and Mozart, as well as pieces by composers as varied as
Monteverdi, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Britten and Karl Jenkins. Equally established
as a consort singer, Mark Dobell enjoys performing with such leading choirs and
ensembles as the Cardinall’s Musick, I Fagiolini and King’s Consort. He is also a
member of The Sixteen, Tallis Scholars and the choir of Westminster Abbey.
EAMONN DOUGAN
readmusic at NewCollege, Oxford, before
continuing his vocal and conducting studies at the Guildhall
School of Music and Drama. As both singer and conductor, he
has appeared with many of Britain’s leading ensembles and is
a member of The Sixteen and I Fagiolini. In 2006 Dougan was
appointed the first Assistant Conductor of The Sixteen and now
holds the position of Associate Conductor. He has directed the
ensemble to considerable acclaim in concerts across England
and Europe. Other highlights with The Sixteen have included
the world première of Gabriel Jackson’s
Ave Regina Caelorum
in collaboration with guitarist Tom Kerstens and the International Guitar Foundation
at the opening of Kings Place, a recording with Icelandic ensemble Sigur Rós and
the closing concert of the Henry VIII 500th anniversary celebrations in Greenwich.
Dougan is Principal Guest Conductor of The National Youth Choir of Great Britain
and Chorus Director of Britten Sinfonia Voices. He is a regular Guest Conductor with
Wrocław Philharmonic Choir, Poland, Coro de la Comunidad, Madrid and St. Endellion
Festival Orchestra & Chorus. He is increasingly in demand as a guest conductor
and choral coach and has assisted various conductors, including Martyn Brabbins,
Ryan Wigglesworth, Adam Fischer and Sir Mark Elder. In September 2008 he was
appointed a Visiting Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London,
where he teaches ensemble singing and directs the Guildhall Consort. As a soloist
Eamonn Dougan has sung with the Academy of Ancient Music, Hanover Band, City of
Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra de la Comunidad, Madrid and Orchestra
of the Age of Enlightenment. His solo recordings include Bach’s

as well as
motets by Giovanni Grillo and the premiere recording of Arvo Pärt’s

ANIMA
(AHH-nee-mah) means breath, life, soul and spirit. Anima’s four ensembles,
ranging from introductory to advanced, are open to boys and girls grades K-12. In
after-school rehearsals students learn to read music, sing music from many cultures
and genres, participate in a confidence and character-building culture, sing with
Chicago’s major musical organizations, and make lifelong friends. Founded in 1964 as
the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus, Anima is an internationally recognized youth choral
organization located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois serving youth throughout the Chicagoland
area. Anima’s mission is to transform young lives through excellence in music
education and choral singing. Anima performs regularly in concert locally, nationally
and internationally. Recent appearances include
