40 CALENDAR OF EVENTS Calling all junior chefs! Join us at Kohl Children’s Museum for our Kitchen Creations program featuring farm-to- table food preparation and nutritious eating. Twice a month we will use a variety of ingredients and transform them into healthy snacks, salads, and more! Kitchen Creations will occur approximately every other Tuesday through October 22 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Sep 10 & 24: Graham Cracker Houses Think like an engineer and construct your own graham cracker house. Add your decorating flair with sweet fruit and delicious chocolate chips. Oct 8 & 22: Compost Pie Mix and mash all the leftovers in your fridge to make your own no-bake pie. The Museum’s Tinkering Tuesday program encourages children to do what they do best - let their curiosity take over! Explore the world of engineering by building machines and creating processes, and then explore what happens when you make changes or do things differently. Programming takes place approximately every other Tuesday from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. on the Museum’s STEAM Cart at announced locations in the Museum exhibits. Oct 1, 15 & 29: Engineering a Tool Design and construct a tool or machine to retrieve an object that’s gotten stuck out of your reach. Nov 12 & 26: Strike Up the Band Tap, clang, pluck, and combine materials to discover the different sounds you can make with your own constructed instrument. Dec 10: Ice Cream in a Bag Discover how salt can lower the temperature of ice to make this cold, sweet treat. Programming underwritten by TINKERING TUESDAYS KITCHEN CREATIONS
