48 ACCESS AND INCLUSION PROGRAMS COMMITTED TO THE COMMUNITY Kohl Children’s Museum has more than 30 years of experience extending its services beyond its walls to children and communities in need throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Each year, more than 16,000 children and their supportive adults bene t from a series of access and inclusion programs designed to address the need for quality early-learning opportunities that nurture a love of learning that can last a lifetime. KOHL CHILDREN’S POP UP MUSEUM As part of our commitment to ensuring that every child and family has access to a high-quality children’s Museum experience, we are very excited to better serve children and families in under-resourced areas by bringing our exhibits and education programs to them directly. The Pop-Up Museum program is currently operating in 2-month cycles in three di erent Lake County locations each year. The Pop-Up will be open in Great Lakes from October 1-November 23. Details at www.kcmgc.org/pop-up Kohl Children’s Pop-Up Museum is generously supported by: EARLY CHILDHOOD CONNECTIONS This program provides professional development and enrichment resources to public school teachers and home and center-based childcare providers working with children who are considered at risk of academic failure. Field trips to the Museum, as well as family activities to engage parents, are included to extend learning throughout the year and increase parent involvement in their children’s education.
