34 CALENDAR OF EVENTS SPECIAL PROGRAMS Mon-Sat, Mar 25-30: Extended Members-Only Hours The Museum will open at 8:30 a.m. for a full hour of members-only admission before opening to the general public. Thu, Mar 28, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Doctor for a Day Take the scary out of going to the doctor! Bring your favorite doll or stu ed animal and explore the healthcare eld through a series of fun art projects that de-mystify the scariness of doctors, shots, X-rays, and more. The Chicagoland Association of ChildLife Professionals will be on hand for syringe painting, X-ray decorating, nger casts, and other medical activities. Sponsored by Yummy Dental and Chiro One. Sun, Apr 7, 9 - 12 p.m.: Members-Only Morning Museum exhibits will be open exclusively for the use of Kohl Children’s Museum members and their guests! Free admission for all those covered under active Museum memberships; guests may be asked to pay regular admission rates. Sat, Apr 20, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: Habitat Park Egg Hunt Colorful eggs will be hidden all over our outdoor Habitat Park exhibit. It’s up to sharp- eyed little guests to nd them and win special gifts, from candy to gift cards, even 1-year memberships to the Museum! Additional tickets required. Tue, Apr 30: Monthly Make Believe – Earth Day! Celebrate Earth month by imagining what it would be like to live in di erent environments, like the rainforest, the mountains, or the city. What animals and birds will you encounters? What will you make your house out of? As always for Monthly Make Believe, you can bring non-perishable food items to donate and receive one free child Museum admission as well. BABY AND ME TIME (every Monday 9:30 - 11 a.m.) We know that life with an infant is a big change. That’s why we have created this free group for new parents to meet others to talk about adjusting to parenthood. Join us to: • Talk about your concerns, share your experiences • Meet other parents who are up all night too • Share your biggest accomplishments • Share, learn, and laugh with others just like you A nurse representative from our partners at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital will also be on hand to answer questions and facilitate discussions on early childhood development and parenting topics. This meet-up group is free for parents and infants; however, regular Museum admission prices will apply for access to the Museum exhibits with additional children.
