Lyric Opera of Chicago | 36 Making their own opera Pictured in rehearsal and performance are participants in We Got Next , a production created by Lyric’s EmpowerYouth! program and presented at Truman College last May. In October, 30 high-school students launched their participation in the 2019|20 edition of EmpowerYouth!, a collaboration between Lyric and the Chicago Urban League. Over the next eight months, the young people will work with artists from throughout the Chicago area.
