As part of a traveling gospel girl group, she and her older sisters were performing professionally by the age of eight. Darilyn attended Columbia College majoring in musical theater and during her second semester of freshman year, booked her first equity principal role as Michelle in Dreamgirls. After a few years of focusing on commercials, film/television acting, and print modeling, Darilyn returned for her first love of theater at the Lyric Opera of Chicago premiere of Jesus Christ Superstar. Since then, some of her roles include Trisha in The Last Session (Refuge Theater), Squeak in The Color Purple (Definition Theater), Kiara Suggs (Chicago PD), Alexis (Blood, Sweat, and Heels), and a number of commercial advertisements. Now represented but Gray Talent Group, Darilyn is thrilled to be returning to the Lyric Opera stage for the second time. JORDAN CASTLE Jordan Castle’s theater crudits include The Light in the Piazza (Royal Festival Hall, LA Opera), walking understudy Old Deuteronomy and Gus/Bustopher Jones in Cats (2016-18 international tour), Tevin in 21 Chump Street by Lin-Manuel Miranda (European premiere).
