However, the drumline is much more than just a band studying notes on a page. These students are developing skills beyond the band. They are taught responsibility, discipline, teamwork, leadership skills, reasoning skills, and the importance of building strong bonds with one another. They have also learned the essence of performing. The students are invited locally, regionally, and nationally to perform at concerts, competitions, social events, fundraisers, and community service activities.
