7:30 PM TUESDAY, JUNE 11, 2019 PAVILION 7:30 PM WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12, 2019 HELLO TOUR JC BROOKS BAND –Intermission– LIONEL RICHIE † † Ravinia debut A MESSAGE FROM HYUNDAI Hyundai is proud to be a sponsor of Ravinia as the exclusive automotive sponsor of the festival for five years in a row. Giving back to the communities in which we live and do business is at the core of Hyundai culture. Our corporate social responsibility work provides support in the areas of education, arts/culture, volunteerism, and children’s health. We believe in doing good things together. Through Hyundai Hope On Wheels, our nonprofit organization, we are committed to funding pediatric cancer research and raising awareness about this terrible disease. Every 36 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Cancer’s impact on children can be devastating, but there is reason for hope. Now, thankfully, more than 80 percent of children with cancer survive. However, cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death for US children. Since 1998, we have funded over $160 million in life-saving research, providing grants for innovative pediatric cancer researchers in the US. In total, more than 700 research projects have been funded in pursuit of cures and improv- ing care for children with cancer. Funding for the program comes from Hyundai and our more than 830 US dealers. With the purchase of every new vehicle, Hyundai and its dealers make a donation to pediatric cancer research. Additional funding comes from public support. Each day, 43 families in the US find out that their child has cancer. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it affects the entire family—parents, siblings, grandparents, and others. Families who are dealing with a diagnosis of pediatric cancer need to know they are not alone. Our campaign message is “Minutes are Precious.” In support of our goal to create more awareness about the disease, we in- vite the public to join us on social media—@hyundaihopeonwheels on Facebook, Twitter, and Insta- gram. You can also visit our website to watch video stories of these amazing children and families, at HyundaiHopeOnWheels.org. This year marks our 21st year in the fight against pediatric cancer; although there has been some prog- ress, there remains much more work to do. Our goal is to reach the day when no family ever has to hear the words “Your child has cancer.” And that truly will be a day to celebrate.
