SARAH LARSEN, mezzo-soprano Having made her Met- ropolitan Opera debut in 2017 as Käthchen in Massenet’s Werther , mezzo-soprano Sarah Larsen returns to its stage this coming season as Flora Bervoix in Verdi’s La traviata and for Mozart’s The Mar- riage of Figaro , having also been featured in its 2018 production of Wagner’s Parsifal . Following her present Ravinia debut, she will return to the music of Bernstein for her Seattle Symphony debut as a soloist in Songfest . Larsen’s recent engagements include company debuts as Jan Arnold in Joby Talbot’s Everest with Calgary Opera and Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Virginia Opera, and Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Mill City Summer Opera, as well as per- formances as Ma Moss in Copland’s The Tender Land with Intermountain Opera Bozeman and Prince Orlofsky in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus with Des Moines Metro Opera. In 2017 she made her Italian debut in Vivaldi’s La Gloria e Imeneo with I Solisti Veneti. ZOE JOHNSON, soprano Soprano Zoe Johnson is an avid performer of opera, theater, and con- temporary music. Cred- its include Weill’s Street Scene and Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Virginia Opera, Bernstein’s Can- dide with The Knights at Tanglewood, and por- trayals of Lena in Ana Sokolovic’s Svadba at the Bard Fisher Center, Fire/Princess/Nightingale in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges at the Aspen Music Festival, Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with the Albany Symphony, and Chava in Fiddler on the Roof with Charlottesville Opera. Johnson originated the role of Michelle in the musical Intruder at the New York Theater Festival in 2018, and she stars in the film Pearl , directed by Mary Lambert. In addition to per- forming, Johnson is a competitive marathon runner and visual artist. Zoe Johnson is making her Ravinia debut. EMMA SORENSON, alto Chicago-based mez- zo-soprano Emma So- renson recently made her Chicago Folks Op- eretta debut as Stasi in its revival of Kálmán’s The Csárdas Princess , having made her Chicago debut last fall as Isabelle Eberhardt in Chicago Fringe Opera’s production of Missy Mazzoli’s Song from the Uproar . She is an Emerging Art- ist with Boston Lyric Opera, appearing as Frou Frou in Lehár’s The Merry Widow and a brides- maid in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro . In 2015 and 2016, Sorenson was an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera, singing Javotte in Massenet’s Manon and Flower in Catán’s Rap- paccini’s Daughter . She has also portrayed the title role of Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia , the Third Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute , Zulma (covering Isabella) in Rossini’s L’italiana in Al- geri , and Baba the Turk in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress at the Boston Conservatory. Sorenson was a recipient of Encouragement Awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council audi- tions in 2015 and 2016. Emma Sorenson is mak- ing her Ravinia debut. MARTIN LUTHER CLARK, tenor Currently a master’s degree candidate at the Curtis Institute of Mu- sic, tenor Martin Luther Clark was recently a resident artist with the Russian Opera Workshop, where he sang both Vaudemon in Iolanta and King Charles in The Maid of Orleans by Tchaikovsky. With Curtis Opera Theatre, Clark has sung the roles of First Sailor in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd, and Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni , and he was heard at Central City Opera in the summer of 2018 as an Apprentice Artist. In honor of Leonard Bernstein’s cente- nary, he sang both published and unpublished works by the composer at the Library of Con- gress. His credits also include performances with Lyric Opera of Kansas City as a Resident Artist, University of North Texas Opera, the Dallas Opera Outreach, Charlottesville Opera, Opera in Concert, Opera North, and Wolf Trap Opera. Martin Luther Clark is making his Ra- vinia debut. LUKE MACMILLAN, baritone Baritone Luke MacMil- lan recently performed with the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard as Dandini in Rossini’s La Cenerentola , as one of the Street Singers in Bernstein’s Mass , and covering Maximilian in its production of Can- dide . A lover of new music and a recent master’s graduate, he has been heard as the Swineherd in John Harbison’s Full Moon in March with the Bard College Graduate Vocal Arts Program and in concert with the Grammy-winning Albany Symphony. Last summer, MacMillan performed with Opera Saratoga in its productions of Ver- di’s Falstaff and Blitzstein’s The Cradle Will Rock . Prior to that, he made his debut as Maximilian in Candide with The Orchestra Now and began exploring early music, performing concerts cen- tered around the music of Heinrich Schütz and Rameau with the Bard Baroque Ensemble. Luke MacMillan is making his Ravinia debut. JOHN EIRICH, dancer John Eirich was raised in Orlando, FL, where he studied ballet and jazz at Southern Bal- let Theatre. He earned his BFA in dance from New World School of the Arts in 2005, was a student in the Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Traditions Program, and has performed with the Miami Contemporary Dance Company, Florida Grand Opera, and the Amy Marshall Dance Company. He was a mem- ber of Taylor 2 from 2006 to 2010, has been a member of TAKE Dance since 2007, and joined Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre in 2010. He has also performed in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis directed by Isaac Mizrahi (2014), Missa Brevis with Limón Dance Company, and L’Allegro, il penseroso, ed il mod- erato and The Hard Nut with the Mark Morris Dance Group.
