SECURITY PROCEDURES Firearms and explosives are not per- mitted in the park, including those possessed by active or off-duty service members. For the safety of all guests, all items brought into the park (including, without limitation, coolers, picnic bas- kets, bags, backpacks, and purses) are subject to search upon park entry or re- entry and may be inspected again before entry into the Pavilion. A metal-detec- tion wand or walk-through magnetom- eter will be used to scan patrons. Ravin- ia reserves the right to refuse admission to guests who refuse a security scan or search. Visit Ravinia.org/FAQ for infor- mation about prohibited items. ANIMALS AND ACCESSIBILITY Comfort animals and other pets are strictly prohibited. Service animals as defined in the Americans with Disabil- ities Act are allowed. Visit Ravinia.org /Accessibility for information about services available at the park for guests with disabilities. NO SMOKING Ravinia prohibits smoking or vaping on premises except in designated areas out- side the gates. Though Illinois legalized recreational marijuana, state law prohib- its public use of cannabis. Guests will be asked to return all forms of marijuana products to their cars or surrender them to onsite police for destruction. Viola- tors will be removed from the park. CAMERAS AND RECORDING Professional photographic or audio/ video recording equipment is strictly prohibited at all Ravinia events and may not be brought into any facility or used during any performance. CONCERT CONTENT Ravinia does not censor or control the content created by guest artists. Patrons with sensitivities to adult language or socio-political commentary are advised to be aware of the artists’ work before purchasing tickets to and/or attending their performances. MEDICAL AID A nurse and physician are on duty at every performance. Contact the nearest usher or security staff member in the event of a medical emergency. FOOD AND BEVERAGES On Ravinia’s grounds are three restau- rants, two full-service bars, and a mar- ketplace with a variety of hot and chilled options, as well as several drink and food carts around the park on many nights. In the Dining Pavilion, the Park View offers classic à la carte dining with seasonal entrées, daily specials, and a full-service bar, as well as picture win- dowviews and a covered al fresco terrace. Tree Top features rotating global, gour- met selections at chef action stations to enjoy in the dining room, at the bar, and on the porch overlooking the park. The Lawn Bar serves local craft beer, seasonal cocktails, and tavern fare at its indoor/outdoor bars, communal indoor tables, and outdoor lounge seating. Overlooking the park from above the Ravinia Music Box is BMO Rooftop , offering an expansive beverage service of craft beers, upscale wines, and sig- nature drinks, plus the best views of the Lawn from its drink rail. Available for group events; email events@ravinia.org . Guests may bring their own food and drinks (including alcohol) to have a picnic on the Lawn or complete or com- plement their spread from the Ravinia Market ’s huge variety of house-made snacks, sandwiches, and salads; sodas, beer, wine, and packaged cocktails; and five mini restaurants. Place a carryout order in person or online ; see page 85 . Beverages are allowed in the Pavilion when purchased and served in Ravinia’s lidded souvenir cup. Drinks and cups may be purchased from any restaurant, bar, or drink cart in the park. Beverages are not permitted in the Martin Theatre or Bennett Gordon Hall; food is not al- lowed in any seating except the Lawn. The Freehling Room , connected to Bennett Gordon Hall inside the Har- za Building, is a private dining club for Ravinia donors at the Opus level and above for Pavilion and Martin Theatre concerts during the summer, and it also serves dinner before many Bennett Gor- don Hall concerts in the fall and spring (availability listed on concert webpages). FREE RIDE ON UP-N METRA TRAIN In partnership with Metra, all trains on the Union Pacific North Line honor Ravinia tickets as train fare to and from the park. Simply show your dated Ravinia performance ticket to the con- ductor for a free ride on the day of the event—getting to and from the festival has never been easier! TRAIN SCHEDULE Select trains stop at the main entrance, Ravinia Park station. Visit Metra.com /maps-schedules/train-lines/UP-N for complete schedules, alerts, and informa- tion, including additional trains stop- ping at the nearby Braeside and Ravinia stations. Check the video screens near the box office for a schedule of trains departing from the main entrance after most summer concerts. RESIDENTIAL STREETS Parking, drop-offs, and pickups are strictly prohibited on the residential streets surrounding Ravinia. Highland Park Police will issue fines to violators. DROP-OFFS/PICKUPS Vehicles dropping off or picking up con- certgoers must go to one of the follow- ing parking lots. Please alert your driver. • Ravinia’s onsite parking lots ▷ A valid Ravinia donor parking pass or disability parking placard must be presented for access to the North and South Parking Lots. ▷ Lots are closed 30 minutes before the performance ends and reopen 1 hour after the performance. • Braeside Metra train station ▷ ¼ mile south along Green Bay Trail • Ravinia Metra train station ▷ ½ mile north along Green Bay Trail Highland Park Police and Ravinia staff may need to redirect vehicles. Please fol- low their instructions. PARK AND RIDE Ravinia’s free and accessible shuttle bus service makes continuous round trips between Ravinia and offsite parking lots before, during, and after most events in the Pavilion. Park and Ride will not operate when onsite parking is expected to easily accommodate all ticketholders; check individual event webpages on the day of the performance for availability. LOST AND FOUND Call the box office at 847-266-5100 with a description of your lost item. FREE WI-FI Ravinia offers free Wi-Fi service to all guests—just connect to the “Ravinia” network. CHAIR AND TABLE RENTAL Visit Wintrust Chair Rental just inside Ravinia’s gates to rent lawn chairs and tables at Pavilion and Martin Theatre concerts or pick up your reserved rental. Visit Ravinia.org/ChairRental/ for more information. SEVERE WEATHER Concerts take place rain or shine, but in the event of severe weather, Ravinia may delay, interrupt, or cancel a concert. Should the National Weather Service is- sue a severe weather watch or warning once guests are in the park, video screens will display updates. When necessary, special instructions will be delivered over the speaker system. Ravinia main- tains its own emergency power gener- ator. During delays or interruptions, guests may seek refuge in a structure that bears a blinking green light at its entrance ( see photo below for example ); that light will turn red when the struc- ture is full. Guests will not be permitted to bring picnic supplies or other gear with them. In some cases, Ravinia may lead guests to refuge at nearby Braeside Elementary School. Guests may also exit the park and return to their cars. Those who leave will be readmitted if and when the concert resumes. Ravinia is an open-air concert venue that cannot pro- vide indoor refuge for all guests when the park is full. Please be aware of your surroundings, including exits.
