NOONɠ PM RALPH’S WORLD Ralph’s World is the mega-fun musical plan- et where kids rock and dance to their own and their parents’ delight. It’s the creation of Ralph Covert: indie rocker, songwriter, playwright, and children’s book author. He’s taken the same high-energy and super-me- lodic sense that he developed for his touring pop-rock band ( e Bad Examples) to kid’s music—basically only the lyrics are changed for the ears of the innocent. Covert also per- forms at libraries and schools in solo acous- tic sets where he engages the young listeners with activity songs, story songs, dancing songs, and a healthy dose of pure silliness, including songs of his that have been turned into children’s books, furthering important links between music and reading. A longtime Chicago-based artist, Covert has brought Ralph’s World to national audiences through appearances on NPR’s All ings Considered , ABC World News Tonight, e CBS Morn- ing Show, and Sirius XM Kids Radio New Year’s Eve, as well as with more than a dozen music videos produced between and to run on e Disney Channel. He also appeared on the nationally televised Chicago Magni cent Mile Holiday Parade, performing his song “Welcome to Christmas Wood” with the cast of A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas . Many of his critically acclaimed Ralph’s World albums were released on Disney’s record label. Covert most recent- ly introduced Time Machine Guitar , which he subsequently developed into a TV pilot and later launched as a series on the Ralph’s World YouTube channel. Ralph’s World rst appeared at Ravinia in and is returning for the rst time since .
