Music fosters a sense of community within the Ravinia family, which brings so much happiness to so many people, and I feel very much a part of that. What piece of music evokes a specific feeling or memory for you? Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture [ Ed.: There aren’t many who could claim to have seen every performance with cannons at Ravinia! ] What is your favorite Ravinia experience? My wedding reception on a Monday evening in 1978. You have worked at Ravinia for over 50 years what has kept you coming back? There has never been a loss of theme or steam for my love for Ravinia and my work efforts. What makes Ravinia so special? The Ravinia setting evokes such a sense of calm that the environment and ambiance are contagious. We wish everyone knew about the rewarding and fulfilling experience that Ravinia has to offer—what we call “The Magic of Ravinia.” If you were an instrument, how would that instrument represent your life or personality? A xylophone, because it is capable of capturing a wide range of emotions and tasks. Hometown: Glencoe, IL When did you start working with Ravinia?
