MORE THAN A FESTIVAL SCAN FOR MORE INFO Ravinia Steans Music Institute (RSMI) is an oasis of artistic development for young professional classical pianists and string players, classical singers, and jazzmusicians. Each receives a fellowship to attend at no cost during the summer at Ravinia, to advance their craft with a world-class faculty and their peers. Founded in honor of Lois M. Steans in 1988, RSMI has supported over 1,600 exceptional artists , many of whom have cultivated highly visible careers in performance, artistic leadership, and music education.
