The worldwide hit single “Me Voy” was certified Gold in Mexico and also earned two Latin Grammy nominations. Her 2008 MTV Unplugged album won two Latin Grammys; after 2010’s Otra Cosa and 2013’s Los Mo- mentos , Venegas pulled another Latin Grammy win and Grammy nomina- tion with 2015’s Algo Sucede . LA SANTA CECILIA La Santa Cecilia is a Mexican Ameri- can band from Los Angeles whose mu- sical influences range among bolero, folk, cumbia, ranchero, norteño, jazz, and other genres, giving their music a unique shine and style. Formed in 2007 by La Marisoul (vocals), Pepe Carlos (guitar and accordion), Alex Bendaña (bass), and Miguel Ramírez (percussion), they made their record- ing debut in 2010 with Noche y Citas and by 2014 had notched a Grammy Award among their accolades with Treinta Días . Giving more than 100 shows during 2022 and 2023, La Santa Cecilia has gained a wide following with international festival appearances, including Cervantino in 2016 and 2023, as well as major Mexican festivals such as Tecate Pa’l Norte and Vive Latino. Their latest album is Quiero Verte Feliz (2021), which earned nominations for the Best Cumbia/Vallenato Al- bum Latin Grammy and the Best Tropical Latin Album Grammy. SONIA DE LOS SANTOS Sonia De Los Santos was born Mon- terrey, Mexico, and has been singing in Spanish and English for audiences of all ages since 2007, when she joined the Grammy-winning group Dan Zanes and Friends. As a solo artist, she has released three family music albums and one EP: Mi Viaje: De Nuevo León to the New York Island, ¡Alegría! (Latin Grammy-nominated), Esperanza , and A Month to Remember . Her songs are inspired by Latin American rhythms like huapango, cumbia, salsa, and fes- tejo, as well as folk traditions from the United States. Alongside touring to such venues as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Austin City Limits, Lollapa- looza, the Getty Museum, National Gallery of Art, and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival—including with the Okee Dokee Brothers in the bilin- gual show Somos Amigos —she has held an online musical series ( En Casa con Sonia ) and debuted ¿Qué Pasa, Sonia? , a radio segment on Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live. She recently premiered Música , a new live show that cheers women who make music and those who inspired De Los Santos.
