14 RAVINIA’S STEANS MUSIC INSTITUTE RSMI JAZZ EVENTS Events in Bennett Gordon Hall BRIDGES: An International Jazz and Classical Fusion Competition Staircase by Michael Orenstein, the winner of the David Baker Prize of the 2019 Bridges Competition, will receive its world premiere in Bennett Gordon Hall on Friday, June 7, at 6:00 p.m. RSMI Jazz Grandstand The RSMI fellows of the Program for Jazz present their concert of original music in Bennett Gordon Hall on Friday, June 14, at 6:00 p.m. Master Class Saturday, June 8, 2:00 p.m. John Patitucci, bass World-renowned jazz bassist John Patitucci turns a discerning ear to an RSMI jazz quintet, giving the RSMI audience insight into the many facets of coaching young professional jazz musicians.
