RAVINIA’S STEANS MUSIC INSTITUTE 25 RSMI PIANO AND STRINGS FELLOWS and the Albert M. Greenfield Competition. As a prize of the Greenfield Competition, she performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center. She won prizes at the Stulberg International Competition and the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition. Along with her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Haesue has performed with the Prince George’s Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ensemble 212. Haesue has participated in many festivals including the Verbier Festival Academy, the Banff Music Festival, the Great Mountains Music Festival, and the Summit Music Festival. Youjin Lee , violin Gene Witz Memorial Violin Fellowship Violinist Youjin Lee is making a name for herself as an artist with a deep sense of musical purpose and notable virtuosity. In 2013 she won first prize in both the Stulberg International String Competition and the Irving M. Klein International String Competition. More recently she was awarded First Prize at the Washington International String Competition, Prize winner at the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, Second Prize at the Seoul International Violin Competition. Ms. Lee’s recent solo performances include her recital debut in Tokyo and Nagoya and her Bulgarian debut appearing with the Sofia Philharmonic. She has appeared as a guest soloist with the Central Aich Symphony Orchestra in Japan; Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra; and Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra. She has collaborated in concert with Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Currently, she studies with Ida Kavafian and Pamela Frank at the Curtis Institute of Music. Ms.Lee is using Jean Baptiste Vuillaume 18xx from Munetsugu violin collection. Gabriel Martins , cello Merrill and Judy Blau Fellowship Cellist Gabriel Martins (b. 1998) is a prize-winner of the David Popper Intern- ational Cello Competition, Orford Music Award, Prague Spring International Music Competition, Sphinx Competition, and International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in venues such as Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Teatro Gran Rex in Buenos Aires, and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. He has collaborated in chamber music with artists such as Miriam Fried and Edgar Meyer, and is the newest member of the SAKURA Cello Quintet, which has been praised by the Los Angeles Times. He grew up studying with Susan Moses in Bloomington, Indiana and received his bachelor’s degree with Ralph Kirshbaum at the USC Thornton School of Music, where he won the school’s concerto competition and solo Bach competition in his freshman year. Raphaëlle Moreau, violin Carol and Joel Honigberg Fellowship Raphaëlle Moreau, coming from a family of musicians, started the violin aged four in the Suzuki system. Showing great promise from a very early age, Raphaëlle Moreau played “Oblivion” by Karol Beffa with the London Symphony Orchestra in Salle Pleyel. At the young age of 14, she commenced her bachelor degree at the prestigious Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris under the tutelage of Prof. Roland Daugareil. When receiving her Bachelor degree in 2013, she went on to continue her studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne with Prof. Pavel Vernikov as a Masters student. During the season 2016-2017, Raphaëlle made her debut at the Cologne Philharmonie, the Dortmund Konzerthaus and was invited as a soloist to play with the Orchestre Symphonique de Bretagne, Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire and the Pelléas Chamber Orchestra. In March, she performed the piece “Indra” for violin and piano written for her and the pianist Celia Oneto-Bensaid by the young composer Camille Pepin. In 2017, she was awarded scholarships from the Or du Rhin foundation and the Nicati-de-Luze foundation in Switzerland. Raphaëlle recently was chosen to be the next Concertmaster of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. She is currently finishing her Second Masters Degree, specializing in solo playing under the tutelage of Renaud Capuçon. Kyle Orth , piano Ravinia Associates Board Program for Piano and Strings Fellowship Hailed as “spine-tingling” (Fort Worth Star-Telegram) and “breathtaking” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), Kyle Orth is a pianist of unusual virtuosity and artistic sensitivity. Having concertized across the United States, Europe, Israel, and Mexico, Mr. Orth is recognized as a captivating soloist and chamber musician. Since Mr. Orth’s orchestral debut at the age of fifteen, he has appeared as soloist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and Orquesta Sinfónica de Oaxaca (Mexico), under the batons of Jaap van Zweden, Miguel Harth- Bedoya, Hugh Wolff, and others. Last year, he performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra on their subscription series, a performance which the Star Tribune described as being “thrillingly visceral.” Mr. Orth completed his undergraduate degree at Texas Christian University and master’s degree at New England Conservatory. He is currently a student of Wha Kyung Byun in NEC’s doctoral program. Chaeyoung Park , piano Jeffrey Kanne Memorial Fellowship, Fellowship In Memory of the Honorable Milton I. Shadur, J. Howard Wood Piano Fellowship Winner of the 2019 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, twenty-one-year old pianist, Chaeyoung Park comes from Seoul and Kansas. She has received top awards in numerous national and international competitions, including Silver Medal at the 2016 Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Competition, 2017 Juilliard Gina Bachauer Competition, Third Prize at the 2015 Cleveland International Young Artists Piano Competition, Third Prize at the 2015 Yamaha USASU International Senior Piano Competition. As an avid chamber musician, Chaeyoung has most recently participated in Ravinia Steans Music Institute and Juilliard ChamberFest and has appeared on WQXR Greene Space and Merkin Hall at Kaufman Center with her colleagues. After starting piano at age six in South Korea, Chaeyoung moved to Lawrence, Kansas, in 2007, and studied with Dr. Jack Winerock of the University of Kansas for eight years. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under tutelage of Robert McDonald at the Juilliard School. Kyumin Park , violin Florence and Lester Cohn Memorial Fellowship from the Cohn Foundation, George J. Goldstein, Sr. Fellowship from Mr. and Mrs. Phillip M. Goldstein, Benjamin J. Rosenthal Foundation Fellowship Kyumin Park is pursuing his Bachelor of music at the New England Conservatory studying under Donald Weilerstein. He has reached international recognition, winning the 2nd prize at the International Max Rostal competition, 2nd prize at the International Music Competition of Harbin, China and 3rd prize at the Klein International Competition in San Francisco. In 2013 he won the Thomas and Evon Cooper International Violin Competition held at Oberlin where he played with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Along with his successful international achievements he made his solo concert début for the Kumho Prodigy Concert series in 2012 in Seoul. He has been invited to many festivals worldwide including Ravinia Festival, Holland Music Festival and Kneisel hall. He performed with the world known orchestras including The Cleveland Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Korean Symphony Orchestra. Rannveig Marta Sarc , violin Starling Foundation Fellowship Icelandic-Slovenian violinist, Rannveig Marta Sarc, grew up in a family of musicians. As a soloist, she has appeared with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Slovene Philharmonic, Reykjavik Conservatory of Music Orchestra and Iceland Youth Symphony. She
