Napoili oni krovyu aloyu

Kto pogib za Rus’ smyertyu dobroyu,
He who died so nobly for Russia,

budu vyernoi zhenoi, miloi ladoyu.
I shall be a faithful wife and

krasota zyemnaya konchayetsa.
earthly beauty soon fades.
A poidu ya za khrabrovo.
But I shall marry a brave man.

Foes shall not set eyes on
our Russian towns:
